Gyllium, as one of the best high-end design brands producing leather agendas, was selected and cordially invited to participate in the new book launch of the prestigious Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club (RREC).
Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club
As one of the world’s most prestigious car clubs, the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club (RREC) is delighted to have launched a new publication entitled “The Pursuit of Excellence” at Goodwood House in Chichester, East Sussex, UK. RREC is widely regarded as the largest and most comprehensive of any single marque car club in the world. Inaugurated in 1957, it has now more than 10 000 members worldwide.
In 2002, the Club returned to Windsor Castle to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. Some 550 cars took part and there is no doubt that Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh enjoyed the day immensely. The RREC is the only club to have been reviewed twice by a reigning monarch. In April 2011, the club had the honour of parading over 100 motor cars in front of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at Windsor Castle to celebrate his 90th Birthday.
The new publication was launched at Goodwood House, which enjoys a global reputation as one of the finest country estates in the world. It is the seat of the Duke of Richmond and is a Grade I listed building. Goodwood House was built circa 1600. It combines the glamour of a great English country house with the warmth of a family home. It also provides a dramatic setting for one of the most significant private art collections in the country. The State Apartments, restored to their full Regency splendour, reflect the exoticism and opulence of this period. There was no better setting for this exclusive event.
“The Pursuit of Excellence”
Produced by leading London publisher St James’s House and written by an editorial team of experts, aficionados and tastemakers, the beautifully designed, 432-page hardback publication spotlights Rolls-Royce motor cars past and present, and delves into the stories and personalities that make the marque “the best car in the world”.
The book will be distributed among the 10 thousand members of the Club and several copies will be sent to Rolls-Royce and Bentley showrooms across the world. In total, there will be 24 thousand copies available.
In keeping with the launch’s refined setting, a collection of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars were on display at the Goodwood House event. In addition, to resonate with the book’s theme of luxury, a carefully curated selection of high-end brands were present, enabling guests to immerse themselves in a world of luxurious tastes, products and experiences.
As an official sponsor of “The Pursuit of Excellence”, Gyllium unveiled one of its special design pieces, the Audacious, at the launch event that took place on 23 March. Richard Freed, CEO of St James’s House, said: “What better way to launch this wonderful book than with a celebration of the finer things in life? It was truly an event to remember.”
We couldn’t agree more! It is a great joy to be the official sponsor of such a majestic and great car club as RREC and to be part of a graceful book like The Pursuit of Excellence.
